PRG Media Services provides clients with real time and post-production video editing services that allows clients to take live content and craft it into a finished, timeless piece. Emmy Award-winning editors and technicians provide clients with on-site or in-house solutions to their most challenging problems and help produce extraordinary content, the quality of which clients have come to expect from PRG.

The foundation of PRG Media Services took place in October 2010 with the acquisition of the Emmy Award-winning Pow! Pix. Since the acquisition PRG Media Services has renovated the former Pow! Pix’s offices, located at 44th East 32nd Street, right in the heart of midtown Manhattan, in order to create a relaxing state of the art environment for clients. In addition PRG Media Services has doubled the former Pow! Pix’s inventory with Apple Final Cut and Avid rental products in order to satisfy the demands of even the largest and most difficult shows.

The additional inventory of Apple Final Cut and Avid rental products will become the backbone of what is PRG Media Services’ rental facility, based in Secaucus, New Jersey. Complementing the state of the art edit suits, the facility in Secaucus will serve as a hub for distributing Apple Final Cut and Avid rental products. Taking advantage of the global infrastructure of PRG, PRG Media Services will be able to offer clients support on an international scale.

PRG Launches Media Services with Acquisition of Pow! Pix
The acquisition marks PRG’s entry into the rental of post-production equipment and services, specializing in on-site editing for live event and other broadcasts.
For over 15 years, Emmy award-winning Pow! Pix has provided equipment and engineering services to clients such as ABC, CBS, NBC, HBO and MTV.  Projects include:  The Daily Show/The Colbert Report, Olympic venues, the Super Bowl, reality shows, game shows, corporate events such as product launches and numerous documentaries.  Post-production facilities in central New York City include seven state-of-the-art editing suites, two mix rooms one of which is a Dolby HD 5.1 Surround Sound mix room.  Pow! Pix principal, Bob Barzyk will continue with the company as Vice President of Post-production.

Pix clients will benefit from PRG’s global reach and massive resources.  PRG has frequently provided audio reinforcement, video displays, lighting and other services on the same events where Pow! Pix was providing remote editing and live streaming services, so we are now in a unique position to bundle our services,” said Barzyk.
